constant Migraines coming back

constant Migraines coming back

I am now 15 and my migraines are coming back. I went to a neurologist last year and they did tests and said everything looked fine. They prescribed me to a medicine that i was on when i first started getting migraines. I am still on the medication and my doctor raised the amount i was taking I've been taking this amount for a few months and it was working. Now, the migraines are coming back in the same spots as before. Is this normal or should i ask my doctor to do an MRI(this was one of the few tests they didn't do before)

Hi,
How are you? If the medication is not working, inform your doctor about this and you may need further evaluation. It is also helpful to have a headache diary to determine the possible triggers of your migraine. The frequency of migraine headaches may be affected if the trigger is not known and you are exposed to it frequently. Take care and do keep us posted.
