I am a 43 year old womenWomen's way with a constant/all the time headache for 8 months now. It is there in the morning when I wake up and there when I got to sleep. It grows in severity from dull to throbbing and sometimes I am affected by light and sound. I have had three spinal surgeries since this headache started. One microdiscectomy and two lamectomies of L5/S1 and still have a disc bulge in L4/L5. I also have a bulge at C5/C6. I am taking 60mg twiceTwice-a-day a day of CymbaltaCymbalta and Norco every four hours for pain. The headache is behind the eyes and around the checks and at the back of the headHead and face reconstruction Head injury Head lice Indications of head injury Radial head injury with severe neckCervical spondylosis Head and neck glands Herpes zoster (shingles) on the neck and cheek Irritated seborrheic kerotosis - neck Lymph tissue in the head and neck. Melanoma - neck Neck lump Neck pain Neck pulse Neck x-ray Oral cancer pain. To best describe the headache, it feels like a weight is on my head pressing down to my eyes. I am not sure if the neck pain is related to the headache or if that is from the bulge as I have radiating pain in my left arm from the bulge. I had an MRI of the brain which was unremarkable. The Neurologist that I have been seeing told me that it is a tension headache caused by all of the pain that I am in. Could you please tell me if you think that this is true or if there could be another cause for this that I could look into to make it stop or help the pain. Thanks, Deb
