could this actually be neurological?

I'm 16. in july of 2009 my body went extremely haywire. It was warm out, but i needed the heat in the car, and i am extremely sensitive to the cold. I could only stand for short periods of time without leaning on something. When i stand, my legs turn dark purple, red, blue and white....looking like lava lamps. I started having trouble getting up sairs, and when i did walk stairs, or even sit with my legs not elevated, i would recieve lightning bolt pains down my legs. At th same time, all of my hair was falling out, but they didnt seem to connect at the time. I now cannot walk up stairs, and have to craw them if i must. My feet and hands tingle and go numb often. my hands often shake.  I have loss of sensation throughout the entire left side of my body. The change in my gait since July has been astonishing; my right knee and foot turn inward and my balance is not at all well according to a physical therapist. My circulation is terrible and i must wear  stockings everyday. Some pains i have are relieved my pressure. I have severe joint pain and stiffness, along with slight swelling. i've had vision changes since the onset of my symptoms.
i've seen a neurologist, he got me a scanof my lower spine only, looking for INJURIES to the spine (a girl wo has never played a sport.).
when i saw my regular doctor, i told him of an article i read about peripheral neuropathy that sounds exactly like me, i hadnt brought up to the neurologists. He said that he didnt know why the neurologist didnt bring that up, or anything and thats why he sent me over there. also, my symptoms match multiple sclerosis. could anyone help? any experiences?
thank you!

Katlyn,

Please go to a endocrinogist. Please go sweetheart. Are your parents very active in getting you medical help? If you can come to Kentucky, I have a great one but I am sure if you ask a hospital who is the most famous endocrinolgist in town with advanced degree, you will find one who will want to get you in quickly. Tell them your normal doc said your thyroid is high....skip the just a little part, and they will get you right in. I hope your parents are listening to this and cooperating with getting a diagnosis FAST.
