Could be anxiety (you don't have to have the choking sensation or palpitations, rather it's based on how you feel psychologically) but it also sounds like there is a component of migraine headaches with the wavy lines and other visual changes.  Although MS can present with a number of vague neurological complaints, your symptoms do not sound like a typical case of MS. Also if two neurologists have both said your exam was normal, then that should be somewhat reassuring that it's less likely(although it certainly doesn't rule out the possibility). As for the meds, some people do react to the zoloft whether or not it's really "needed."  Talk to your doctors about the possibility of migraine headaches.  If MS is a significant concern, then you may want to consider an MRI. Good luck.

Zoloft is a great antidepressant....however, it has really done a job on my jaws and teeth.  My dentist told me that my loose back teeth were caused by grinding at night and clinching them during the day. He said that these things were common among his patients that were taking Zoloft.  He made a custom bite guard for me to wear at night. I catch myself clenching my jaws and grinding my back teeth during the day too. So...maybe you could get a change of medicine. I have tried different ones but none work as well for me as the Zoloft.

I'm not a Dr., but it sounds like anxiety to me.  I am positive for MS, and have done much research on the subject.  I've also had some problems with anxiety in the past, and your symptoms (as well as your writing) sound a lot like anxiety.  Often the side-effects lessen as you take medicine for a while.  See what your Dr. says about switching to something else if you don't feel like the Zoloft is for you.

Good luck.

Actually the reason i wrote that way was to make sure I had enough room for what i wanted to say. I had used punctuation and had to take a lot of what i wanted out due to how many characters you are limited too. I had also forgot to write that all my symptoms started after having an episode in Nov. that lasted 2 hrs. I was in and out of consciousness and the only thing that worked for me was using my husband's oxygen machine. The episode consisted of feeling massively hot which my husband was putting ice packs on my head and legs, blurry vision and like i said being in and out. Ever since then i have gotten all these other symptoms that's why i don't think its anxiety, but thank you

Something that might be related to some of your symptoms is MVP Syndrome or dysautonomia.  There is a syndrome that goes with Mitral Valve Prolapse (a benign heart condition like a murmur). It involves slight to severe malfunction of nervous system.  Stress tends to magnify its effects several fold.  I have been diagnosed with this by my internist and its relatively hard to diagnose - need an echo and/or hear the click with the stethoscope.  I recently had a much milder but similar episode to your "usual state". MVPS can come and go, but it tends to get worse over the course of your life, if its not addressed.  They thought it was complicated migraines, which is also another symptom of MVPS (the visual, head pressure, sensitivity to light, heat etc).  I also felt dizzy/lightheaded and almost fainted several times (this is due to low blood pressure ironically!!) There's a MVPS society on the web, http://www.mitralvalveprolapse.com/  these guys know everything there is to know about this syndrome.  Its a shot in the dark not knowing your case history, but one worth following up on.  Hope this helps - whatever you are going through is real and needs to be investigated.  (For me they ruled out MS with spinal tap and blood work... you could ask your docs to do a spinal tap if you are worried about MS... not a pleasant test but pretty definitive).  Good luck.
