Hi. I had the same problem. It turned out to be I was lacking in some minerals, as ggreg suggested. I started on 250mgs of Magnesium and was better in a week. I would suggest a vist to your dr as I found other deficiencies were lacking as well. Cath278
i'm 33 yr's old and recently, i've been experiencing very painful cramping in my Big Toes, whenever they get cold, why is this happening ???
You might be low on the mineral Iron, it causes the feet and toes to cramp up and hurt. So, take a vitamin with iron in it a few times a week, and see if that works. If not, since it happens when you walk, could be you need new or more supportive shoes... one time I wore a pair of running shoes too long, and a shoenail worked its way up slightly into my heel, and took me a while to realize that's how come my heel was killing me! If all else fails, a podiatrist would be able to help you, both from the foot standpoint, and also any other process that might be causing it, from neurological to arthritic changs.
