Hello Dear,
Muscle cramps might develop at night from simple overexertion .Most commonly, cramps can be avoided by increasing your intake of calcium, potassium, and magnesium. Both calcium and magnesium can be taken in the form of a supplement, but it is recommended that potassium levels be increased through the intake of more fruits and vegetables. You should take rest for a few days and massage the calf region using a topical gel which will relax your contracted muscles. As such nothing to worry about.
