csf leakage

I had to have c-5-7 plating and fusion a couple of years ago and when the surgeon got in there they found a tear and CSF leak, it was repaired.
Now I am having some neck pain and then I get headaches mostly in the front and they get better if I lay down.
I am wondering if I need to worry that the patch isn't holding and I have a leak causing the pain and headache.
The doctor did not tell me that anything could ever happen.   any thoughts out there.

What is the test for a CSF leakage?
Have you had another MRI ?

Hello.

There is a possibility that the patch may not be working enough. Do you notice any bulge at the site ? You may not be able to test it at home. CSF contains sugar. This can be found out by glucostix. But if there is no external discharge, it will be prudent to visit the surgeon and ask him to find out.
