I don't know if nerves can be regenerated, but I would try taking fairly large doses of vitamin B1 for a couple of weeks. Certainly B1 helps with damaged nerves and that is how I got rid of sciatica. It won't hurt to try.
You HAVE to consult A NEUROLOGIST OR PAIN SPECIALIST for specifics.
A FEW nerves regenerate with medications, but it's rare.
I'm taking a medication right now to hopefully reegenrate nerve damage that arthritis caused in my spine.
Just started - so i can't tell you, and i also wear a brace at night to help.
I don't believe so. Glad you found the pain management board. There are no doctors on the board; it's just chronic pain patients sharing their experiences. For me, this board has been a lifesaver.
I have a lot of nerve damage and some of it resolved. Some of it I control with procedures (the nerve pain and some strange sensations.) And some we try to control with medication. I know for me, initially, there was some thought that the nerve issues weren't going to be permanent, and I don't know at what point of time they finally decided that whatever was going to resolve had and the rest of it just has to be managed.
Do you have nerve pain? Do you have other issues with the nerve(s)? You haven't given a whole lot of information and if you could be a little more clear, there may be others on the board that have experience with your type of problem. The majority of my problems are with my left hand. Where is your nerve pain or problems located and how did they originate?
