daughter/ botox injections in lower boby

She is 3 and has been on baclofen for 2yrs and the dr now wants to do botox injections and i am a single mom and i wanted someone elses opinion  and i also want to know the side affects .  We are going to the Shriner Hospital in Dec and i am going to try to make them wait until i get back so that i do have a second opinion but help from anyone right now would be greatly appreciated.

I think in my last post, I suggested that BotulinumToxin Type-A injections for your daughter are fine, if given at proper site and in proper dose.
Dose is 8-9 U/kg; Interval: 3-5 months.
Botox blocks signal transmission at neuro-muscular junction.
Level of chemical denervation is dependant upon amount of BTX-A injected.
I want to know why you are opting for Botox if he is doing fine with Baclofen.

I have a neuromuscular disorder that causes the leg muscles to be rigged and make walking difficult to say the least.  Several doctors have recommended botox injections to relieve the spasiticity to the muscles. My question is - Isn't the muscle that is injected going to stop working and how will that make walking better? They say I will be fitted for a brace but that doesn't seem like it would stop me from falling.
