dentist cause vertebral arterial dissection

by askmom60, Apr 14, 2009 07:51AM
I recently suffered a stroke. The angiogram showed dissection of the vertebral arteries.  A week prior to the stroke, I had some major dental work done that involved a root canal and the dentist had to work 45 minutes to pry the temp crown off.  He used a tapper vigorously and one week later had the stroke.  I suffered no permanent damage but suffer anxiety about it happening again.

This discussion is related to Vertebral Artery Dissection/TIA.
