dislocated coccyx

I am a 33 year old female. 6 weeks ago, I fell and dislocated my coccyx. I am in alot of pain and am worried that my doctor should have manipulated it back into place. (my injury is at the top of my tail bone causing my whole tail bone to move inwards at a right angle.) Any suggestions?

I konw that feeling, did he order an MRI? CT scans and xrays are pretty much useless for this injury. Very few doctors will want to adjust the coccyx I would get a second opinion, make sure you don't have a fracture or any other major issues.

If you are having pain while having a BM this in itself can cause constipation. The addition of pain medication can exacerbate it.

To help ease the pain during BM make sure you are getting the required fiber amounts daily and drink plenty of water.

Be careful constipation can cause diverticulitis along with several other gastrointestinal disorders.
