Hi,
The Romberg Test is a neurological test to detect poor balance. A positive Romberg's sign indicates Vertigo, Vestibular Ataxia or Cerebellar Ataxia. Vestibular ataxia can be caused by problems in the inner ear itself, problems in the cranial nerve supplying the ear or lesions in the brainstem. Cerebellar Ataxia may be caused by damage anywhere along the pathway from the proprioceptive sensors to the cerebellum. Please consult a neurologist for the diagnosis and management of the symptoms. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
