dizziness when horizontal

by wiene, Mar 05, 2009 09:37AM
Lately, when I am awakened in the middle of the night.  I feel a tingling sensation to my scalp, nausea and dizziness when I turn my head from side to side, and pain in my left eye and side of head.  I am diagnosed with glaucoma in this left eye and have been on drops over 10 years.  I have had this intermittent eye pain for over 10 years, but I have only recently had the additional symptoms.  One week ago, I also had vomiting.  I went to see the doctor that day.  She diagnosed vertigo and prescribed Promethazine and Meclizine for the dizziness and nausea.  One week later, I am better (no more vomiting) but still have the eye pain and horizontal nausea.  I am noticing now that I am getting increasingly unsteady on my feet and am lightheaded most of the time.  I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow with my general practioner.

This discussion is related to dizziness and tingling sensation to the scalp, am i ok?.
