dizziness

I have dizzy spells when I am standing still after walking or if i am standing still for a period of time. my doctor  sent me for various blood tests prior to sending me to the ENT specialist after placing me on high blood pressure tablets, when my dizziness didnt go away entirely. what else might be causing my problems.

Hi...u say u feel dizzy, but did not mention headaches...but I am sure if u get ur BP under control u may see a difference.It may take a little more time than u gave it...not sure u did not mention a time line.

were u checked for inner ear issues?....check ur thyroid?

There r so many different things that may be causing this..stress can also cause some of ur issues.Since u went to the ENT what did he/she say?

I have now been on BP pills for 14 weeks. I have had some improvement but find the dizziness scary, I couldn't walk in a straight line due to wobbling and feeling faint at the start of the problems.My main concern at the time was that i work with children and was affraid of colapsing on one of them. I was off work for ten weeks and have been back for a short period as I can walk most of the time without going dizzy, but when i stand still i have to hold on something to stop myself for falling over.
Seen ENT specialist and he gave me the all clear and said Dr needs to get my medication right. But my Dr refuses to do anything else relating to my BP. He said the specialist doesn't know what he is talking about.
Thyroid tests came back ok, Cholesteral came back slightly high.
I was over weight weighing 15 stone 6 lb I am 5ft 9in and 39 years old. I have lost 2stone 2 lb's since dieting and feel good about that.

Are you on any other medications other than medication for your BP?
