dizzy 12 year old

I am only 12 and sometimes i get up from sitting or laying down and when i get up i feel very dizzy and everything instantly turns black. When i am out of the spell i find myself doing a diffrent activity. Can you help me find out what is wrong with me? Please write me back.

You must talk with your parents or someone you trust about this issue.  I do know that sometimes ones blood pressure can drop when rising from a sitting or lieing position.  You should get evaluated by a doctor.  Have a great holiday.

Exactly what happens after you come around (after the episode)? Do you also experience this when you suddenly change your head direction?

It is likely that you are experiencing postural (orthostatic) hypotension where the sudden change in position suddenly lowers your blood pressure thus leading to symptoms of dizziness or lightheadedness. Some causes of this condition include dehydration, cardiovascular disease, some medications, diabetes, and a few neurological diseases.

It would be best for you to consult a physician to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.
