dorsal subarachnoid cyst

I have had an MRI that shows a probable dorsal subarachnoid cyst in the thoracic spine.  I am having pain in my left shoulder and numbness and weakness in my left arm and hand,  I won't see the neurosurgeon for a couple weeks but in the mean time I was wondering how this usually trated and if it's with surgery, about how long is the recovery?  I know this can't replace seeing the doctor, but it's a long time to wait without knowing anything.

Yesterday I was having severe headache, dizziness, and vomiting.  Can this be caused by the cyst or is it maybe just a coincidence?
