dxd with mini strokes I think is an error

by terrics, Jun 30, 2009 12:20PM
I have been having alot of problems re white matter lesions.  If the lesions are there at age 57 is it likely they are caused by aging.  So far no one has said that.  I was dxd with benign MS from a stroke specialist and whith mini strokes by my neurologist.  It has been 2 years now and the lesions haven't changed.  My VER was abnormal but I don't have optic neuropathy.  I do have the factor 5 mutation and my bad cholestrol is high, but not terribly.  Nothing else is abnormal, not even tryglicerides.  I don't want to take coumadin, but i will if I have to.

I think that I should go back to the stroke specialist who read my MRIs herself, but I'd have to do it behind my neurologists back.
