eeg

ive been having very bad headaches for the last 4 or 5 yrs.. im very young im not even sixteen. sometimes i cnt sleep or i'll fall asleep crying because my head hurts so bad. i went to the doctor and he told me since my aunt had it, this could have been a trait they passed down. im not stating hes wrong but i wold just like a better more secure opinon or answer as to why i get them. they are nothing like regular headaches. they come in the back of my head and now for two days ive had a heaaches in the front for the first time on the temples. i took an eeg and afterword asked the nurse her opinon on the results she said it was fine excpet for a minor change to the pattern. im getting my results on tuesday.. any comments on what u think it might mean please it realy hurts

It will be really difficult to comment on the EEG. You have not described any symptoms which hint towards EEG changes in the brain waves. Probably you don't have any.

An EEG usually detects a change in the brain waves, either generalized or localized. In the case of generalized EEG changes, we generally see epileptic activity. But yu do not have those symptoms.

Do you have any visual symptoms? The kind of headaches you have may be due to increase intracranial pressure. EEG may show a little slowing in this case.

It is important to rule out hypertension. Your age is not really a risk for hypertension, but there are a few cases reported.
