effects of abruptly stopping carbidopa

by sloaniec, Oct 23, 2007 01:18PM
I've read the following warning on the internet but not much detail is given: "Do not stop taking carbidopa-levodopa suddenly. It may take several weeks before you feel the full effects of this medicine. Stopping suddenly could make your condition much worse"

What could happen to a Parkinson's Disease patient if they suddenly stop taking their carbodopa-levodopa 25-250? For a few days and up to a total of 2 weeks? Can you please provide details?
Thank you,
S.
