essential hand tremors

I have essential hand tremors and on medications for years I was told I'm maxed out on my meds meaning the Doctor cant up boost my what I take per day, I'm only 53 years old and I cant control or stop the tremor I cant write, drink from a cup and I'm not to wild about having the DBS surgery so any ideas would be nice to hear. Now I may lose another job because I cant do the writing.

Thanks for asking & the idea for acupuncture I'm going to seek out the alternative before the DBS surgery, my right dominant hand is the worst then the left I've been writing with my left hand I have some of the tremor in the left but not as bad as the right and if I take my time writing left handed my writing looks pretty good for not being a lefty but even still the tremors are a pain in the butt theirs nothing wrong with my mind or any other part of my body just the hands and a little in the upper arms.

I'll definitely keep everyone posted on what comes out of acupuncture.. If anyone else has tried it I love love to hear your feed back on the outcome of treatment for tremors.

How are you? Aside from prescription medications, you can also consider complementary and alternative medicine such as acupuncture. You can ask a referral to a local certified acupuncturist and try this out. Before taking any supplement, it is also recommended that you talk to your doctor first. Take care and do keep us posted.
