eye problems

by trobentica, Sep 15, 2008 01:03PM
Dear doctor!

Due to my painful and photophobic eyes i was sent to Ct of the head. I've just got the results back but the only thing that is written there is:

Cisti septi pelucidi
Cavum verge

Can you please explain to me what this means? Are my eyes problematic due to these conditions?

Thank you very much! (and sorry for my bad english)

Hi
Cavum Septum Pellucidum (CSP) was also called as the fifth ventricle. It is the
potential space which develops between the two leaflets of the septum pellucidum. Cavum Vergae (CV) is also called the sixth ventricle.
Both of these conditions are congenital anomalies and can lead to neurological symptoms.
You should consult a neurologist/neurosurgeon for expert opinion and further management.

Do write in if you need more information.
Regards.
