falling apart!

falling apart!

I'm female, 36, no children, worked 15 years mostly "on my feet all day" type work. (Retired that work, now student)
Started having my back and left hip go out every month or so with unexplainable left foot problems.
2 diagnoses in the last couple months....5-7 lipomas in my lower back, and a tumor on my left foot sesamoid bone, benign.
Now, I'm completely favoring my left side, have developed a limp and slight stoop forward when walking. Cannot lie flat on my back even in bed due to lipomas, and have had to give up walking for exercise due to foot and back.
Sounds like I'm just venting to vent, and maybe Iam, it's helping to just write it out, but I'm only 36, feel very young for my age, and it's causing a downward spiral with my mood, because, you guessed it!...money. All that I've researched always is the same....surgery for removal of the lumps and bumps that have taken and are taking away the quality of life I once enjoyed. And it's only going to get worse.
I know I'll have the money some day, but I'm afriad it may take years, and when that time comes I don't want to all hunched and limping like a 90 year old by the time I can afford to take care of these things.
Not quite sure what I'm asking here, maybe what things can I do in the meantime so I don't end up a shell of my former self before I can have the surgeries, and if anyone knows of any ways to afford surgery, or pay for it w/o going into the poor house.
Big clincher...I'm unemployed/student and no insurance. I live with my dad and he does ok, but something like 2 surgeries could be thousands!! ThxSoMuch

I sounds like your primary question is how to get assistance and medical coverage for your treatment. First thing you should do is contact a social worker at your local hospital. If you have a charity hospital that would be a good place to start. You may qualify for medicaid coverage (which should cover the surgeries). It never hurts to try and fill out some paper work. Lastly, many larger cities have "free clinics" which are supported by grants, and they can help arrange necessary care when needed. Good luck.
