Dear Dr.,
My son is three years old. We did to him MRI which revealed that his fattyXanthomalipomaLipoma - arm in his back streches slightly the spinal cord. The doctor suggested to have a surgery in order to untethered the cord.
My son does not have any health problems and his movement is OK, he has no problem with his legs nor his bladder.
I would like to know is the tethered cord case here because of the fattyXanthomalipomaLipoma - arm in his back or the filum? Should the the doctor use the microscope in this surgery? what are requirments and tools that the doctor should use in this surgery? if the doctor has no microscope what should we do?
