finger tremor

I have cervical spondylitis.Lately, I am feeling tremor in the last two fingers of both my hands. It is out of my control and I can't sleep due to that. The doctor prescribed Nerotonin and anti-depressants and ordered MRI for by cervical back. Appointment and test and then results-will take time-I am nervous that if this persists--I might be rendered inable with the normal functioning of my hands. What is your opiniion? Please advice.

I am not a doctor.  But, I truly believe having a cervical MRI is a good step.  Some of the nerve roots coming from your neck affect the last two fingers of you hands.  I had a loved one that was losing his usage and almost all his strength from a disk problem in his neck.  Surgery corrected the situation; although I must say I would definitely also consider other more medicinal or therapeutic options recommended for you to try by your specialist.

Hi there,

I just posted about cerebellar damage and tremors. I take Topamax which helps. Also Tegretol helped quite a bit; however, it is very strong. At this point, you probably don't care. If you're to the point that I was at. Neurontin didn't work well for me, but I have a chronic pain condition that I'm looking to treat also. You're on the right course of medications. Strong medications, can produce strong side effects though. I posted about that with someone else. If you have anymore questions just let me know.
