hand cramping

Hello, Im hoping you are able to give me an answer.  My husband is complaining about his right hand cramping him from time to time.  Would getting more potasium in his body help?  He is also a heavy drinker.  He drinks Tow fiths of wine a day on weekeds and four quarts of beer.  Needless to say is an alcoholic. Which he want admit to being.  He goes to work everyday, but gets up coughing and throwing up each morning.  He says its phlem.  I think its from not having alcohol.  Anyway does the cramping have anything to do with the alcohol.

Also he has no sexual disire at all.  I mean at all.  What could this be from?  He is Fifty eight years old, and in good shape as to be seen.  No health problems really.  Occasional gout in his knee.  Any information would help.

There is a strong possibility that your husband is suffering from neuropathy induced by alcohol or alcoholic neuropathy.
It is a disorder in which there is reduced nerve functioning due to consumption of excessive amounts of alcohol for prolonged period of time.
