head and eye pain please read

by kmiller1, May 26, 2007 12:00AM
About a week ago, I was eating a popsicle and started choking on it from laughing. ( I know that sounds silly) Afterwards, I had the worst pain in certain spots of my head, mostly on the left and right sides. Now, the pain is still there, and I have very bad eye pain as well. Im not sure if the coughing caused it, or if I should go see a doctor. But it truly is starting to worry me. Any ideas? Do you think i put too much strain on my brain while coughing, or maybe broke blood vessels in my eyes?

There are a few indications for having a headache checked out.

they are:

New type of headache that is persistent.

A headache caused by straining such as heavy lifting, coughing, heavy exertion.  Espeically if coughing or bending over with you head low, or straining makes the headache worse.

The worst headached you have ever had.

Yes, it's probably nothing, but you need to have this one checked out.  Probably isn't good enough.  I am a physician.
