Hi, whilst I am awake almost every few minutes I feel a very short buzz/electric impulse/mental twitch it feels a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bit like an electric shockAcute respiratory distress syndrome Cardiogenic shock Electroconvulsive therapy Hepatic ischemia Hypoglycemia Hypovolemic shock Lithotripsy Shock Toxic shock syndrome or the feeling like right before you orgasmOrgasmic dysfunction, but much less intense and much shorter it is very difficult to describe but i am trying my best. This has been happening for almost 2 weeks and it happened to me long ago but only a few times and I didnt read much into it. However, now this is happening almost all the time when i am awake and I have found myself wanting to sleep much more than usual i sleep more than 12 hours a day now and last week I didnt want to wake up and spent almost 36 hours in bed. Also, whenever my senses are stimulated especially touching something cold or hot or rubbing my handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor or faceFace pain etc this induces the buzz i get. Also, sometimes i get shooting pains which feel very hot in my leg and sometimes handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor. Could this be something related to my nerves, should i get a brain scan or MRI? thanks
From the way you have described your symptoms, this may indeed by a nervous system problem. Primary neurologic conditions such as MS or ALS may explain your symptoms but this should be assessed by a neurologist first.
Another possibility is some form of depression. Your symptoms of prolonged sleeping periods and lack of drive is compatible with this diagnosis.
Nutritional deficiencies and electrolyte abnormalities are also possible (especially that of sodium, potassium or magnesium).
Since there are a number of possibilities, I suggest you have yourself evaluated by your doctor. Regards.
