head lumps

by dmarie74, Mar 04, 2009 09:41PM
I recently found a lump about an inch behind my right ear, and a day later found two more lumps about an inch below the first one near my hair line. I have had a really bad headache for a couple of days, but I do have a history of migraines and high blood pressure. The lumps are painful and really concern me. Can you please help with an answer to my question?

Hi Marie,

Looking at the description that you have given, it seems like an infection of the ear, throat or structures surrounding it, which has led to swelling of some lymph nodes also. This causes headaches also and in most probability will not be connected with migraine or high blood pressure.

Please consult a doctor specialising in diseases of the ear, nose and throat.
