head tingles, pain, pressure, burning

Had a very serious reaction to Ambien and Biaxin about 7 weeks ago.  Lots of head pressure, cap on head feeling, nasal passages blocking suddenly, went to ER because of chest pain, pressure on day 5 of Ambien, day 3 of Biaxin. White mucus drained from my mouth for two hours before we left for the hospital.  First time in ER in adult life.  They addressed the chest pain but nothing else.  Said I was reacting to the Biaxin and to stop taking it.  They said to stay on the Ambien to get sleep.  Continued to decline though stomach felt better.  Stayed on Ambien for a total of 13 days before realizing what it was doing.  It was too strong for me, I could not think clearly while on it. It made me feel panicky.  At the time I went off of it I had progressed into chest, back, arms burning.  Skin was sensitive to touch.  Rubbing would leave red marks.  Could not breathe properly.  Lots of really serious symptoms.  Totally lost appetite.  

Felt better upon stopping Ambien but then withdrawal hit and it was almost worse than being on it.  Developed a UTI and had to take a few days of Cipro.  Had bile, mucus, acid reflux since the hospital visit and it continues, though mostly acid now.  It has progressed in that now when my esophagus burns, my throat, nasal passages and head do too.  This is happening daily now.  It has been suggested that the clamping of my nasal passages probably led to nerve damage.

Ambien works on the GABA A receptors in the brain.  I have tingles, pressure, burning, in my neck and head.  Is this more nerve damage?  

I was hoping the side effects would wear off.  The muscle/skin effects are better but what I'm left with is pretty scary.  I just found a new doctor so I don't have a clear plan of what to do yet.  I have other big issues to deal with but the reflux and the head problems are huge and seem related to each other in some ways now.  I had no idea the head could be so compromised, and now to be so affected by reflux seems hard to believe.  I also get the symtoms (symptoms) at other times, but it seems worse with the acid.  None of these issues I have ever had to deal with.  I miss my quiet peaceful body so much.  My nasal passages keep blocking so that keeps my ears blocked as well.  I feel so sick, and am getting worse instead of better.

Please help me to sort through this.  I have no life right now.
