headaches, sound of fluid in ears, dizziness, and vomitting after sinus infection

Noticing the previous posts I realized many of my symptoms were similar to others who had either had a sinus infection or were suspected to have blockage in their sinuses. I have a history of severe allergies, asthma, and a history of sinus infections. I recently developed a sinus infection where I did not exhibit swollen and obstructed nasal passages, but very painful pressure headaches and a post nasal drip that caused tonsilitis like symptons. I was treated for my infection with the Z pack since my infection seemed to impair me further with 103 degree fevers, which I am told is rather high for an adult. I finished my antibiotics as directed and the 5th day of the Z pack my throat finally cleared up and the fevers ceased. However I currently get pressure headaches with sudden movements or when standing up and began to see white spots. I also feel quite dizzy. After lying down I sense there is fluid in my right ear. I am very sensitives to high pitched noises and loud voices in general. I have been taking mucinex D to clear up any sinus blockage, yet I am hardly able to remove any mucous even when I sneeze or blow my nose. Two nights ago I attempted to have a beer and 2 drinks at a bar. Though I am not a frequent drinker this is amount is normally within my limit. However, 2 hours after ingesting my last drink I became very dizzy and began vomitting frequently for 2 hours until I had become to dehydrated and could only dry heave. I assume I wasn't very drunk being those around me did not percive me that way and I remember the evening very well. Two days later after working out in the gym after 30 min of cardio on a treadmill and some light weight lifting I began to fill dizzy and vomitted shortly after. I am only 22 and without a history of anxiety. I had several x rays when I was young and had chronic sinus infections and no tumors or growths or deviated septum were found. It had been concluded that my sinus infections were from allergies, and I had been directed to an allergist for treatment. My concern is despite being treated for my most recent sinus infection I have been left with unusual headaches and dizziness that I would only experience under the cirumstances of a high fever. I am concerned that despite taking expectortants such as Mucinex D and finishing antibiotics why do I still have fluid in my ears when I do not percieve my nasal passages as being obstructed. Has anyone found out the root of their dizziness and headaches?

Thank you!

I have something similar. Google BPPV. Benign Proxymal Positional Vertigo.  Also look at other vestibular problems.  You will find that the sinus/ears/etc...are what helps regulate your balance and when you move from position to position, depending on which side is affected, you will get nausea and vomiting, or just nausea, and headaches are common with this.  I've had it for years, now, and am unsure exactly what causes it. The proper medications will help.  I have a neurologist and he referred me for ENG testing to confirm this illness, and getting that test can let you know which side of your vestibular system is affected, or if it is both.  Benedryl will help you with the symptoms of nausea, because it is frequently used for sea sickness, but you truly need to get further testing and have a doctor prescribe the appropriate medications.  Over use of antibotics can cause you to have permanent vestibular damage! Best wishes.
