my daugter she's six years old bumped heads with another student yesterday may 21,2007 at school during P.E while running, she has been vomiting, lost of appitite, fever, with pains to the back of her neck, cring and complaining that her head hurts. I took her to the doctor today and they said that she was fine, but im worried because i see that she's in so much pain I want to know that if what happen to her is something that I should be counserned about. should something realy of happened to her like bleeding in her head or something very serious, should I go get a head scan?

YES!, you should insist on a scan (CT should do) now!  Persistent headache pain and vomiting - after the first couple hours is not a good sign.  Take her to the ER now and insist on a thorough exam WITH A SCAN.  Studies have shown that bleeding inside the skull can be happening even with a normal neurologic exam.  It's probably okay, but probably is not good enough.

Let us know what happens. Quix (pediatrician)
