headaches from Carbon Monoxide

headaches from Carbon Monoxide

I have recently had a friend go into the hospital with an aneurism (aneurysm) . She is starting to recover after surgery and two weeks of ICU . She was suffering for awhile from headaches and had over the past few months been tested for Carbon Monoxide poisoning. She did show levels of CO due to an ongoing problem at work with a defective heating system . OSHA has been there and they have ben working on it but the problem still continues . My question is , could there be any connection with the aneurism (aneurysm) and the ongoing CO problem ? It was suggested by a co worker that she was suffering from the headaches from the CO then had her aneurism (aneurysm) . Let me know what you can about any possible connections . Thanks .

Headaches can certainly result from carbon monoxide, and her doctors were wise to think about that possibility and test for it.
Also, a sudden severe headache can accompany rupture of an aneurysm with subarachnoid hemorrhage. However, aneurysms are not usually the cause of chronic or recurrent headaches. Usually it's BANG without warning.
Therefore, the connection between the carbon monoxide exposure and her aneurysm rupture can't be made clearly, at least not from the data provided.
