Hi.

How does your boyfriend describe these headaches? Are they throbbing, constricting or sharp? What part of the head does he experience them? Are there any visual symptoms or eye pain?

It is possible for migraines to occur for hours, however, we cannot offer you any certainty as to what your boyfriend has until you can at least supply us some answers to the questions I posted.

If his headaches are severe, you could opt to bring him to a physician right away to check on his condition.
