An arrhythmia is an abnormal rate or rhythm of the heartbeat. This could be due to cardiac or non-cardiac causes. Many arrhythmias occur as a complication of a heart condition such as ischaemic heart disease, heart valve diseases, high blood pressure or due to abnormalities in the electrical pathways which are present from birth. Certain medications and excess thyroid hormone can also trigger an arrhythmia. In your case, have this evaluated by your doctor or be referred to a cardiologist for proper evaluation. Laboratory tests such as blood tests and ECG may be done to rule out cardiac causes. Continue maintaining your ideal weight and eat healthy.
Take care and keep us posted.
