heel spur

heel spur

I am desperate to find relief from a heel spur that I have had for 28 months.I have been to foot Drs.,Chripractors, medical massage, strasburg sock, exercises, ice, orthodics, shoes, energy medicine,pro-adjuster and am now seeing an acupuncturist but nothing helps for long. Can anyone help me.I am no longer able to be on my feet
for long without severe pain and have no options left except surgery, which I understand does not help for long ,if at all.

thank you
Linda

Ive had them in both feet since age 17 and I am now 35. No insurance and cant afford doctors. Hopefully if I get this job Im looking at, I'll have Blue Cross/Blue Sheild 6 months after I start and can do something. My pain is severe and no doctors give me pain medication.

I have had several bouts with plantar fascitis.  I know you must be so frustrated.  My last episode lasted about a year.  I saw a doctor and went to therapy as well as doing exercises at home.  Didn't ever wear the shoe thing at night.  I heard from someone who had had the same problem that they believed stretching is what helped them so I tried it.  Now that the intense pain is gone, it is still my habit every morning before I stand.  I flex my feet as far as I can up toward my knees even turning my toes up to elongate the stretch.  I do it during the day if I happen to think about it.  You have to really feel the stretch and hold it for several seconds each time.  You can even take a towel or scarf and put it around your foot just behind your toes and use both hands to help pull your foot into a more flexed position.  Really hold it for a while so that tendon gets a good stretch.  And don't forget a day - no walking until you have stretched.  Don't know whether that will help you or not - you may have a lot of inflammation that your need to get under control.  The best thing I know for that is Advil or something like it.  Just keep up the stretching even if you don't find relief at first.  I believe it has allowed me to continue walking when there was a time that I believed I would be in a wheelchair because of the pain.  Good luck.
