help!

Ok, this is going to be a little long, but i need all the help i can get. I've been having this pain for a year now its different from the normal migraines i used to get. they seemed to get worse after a rear end accident in October. I didnt go to the hospital after the accident but i did have a really bad headache. This headache continued and my neurologist tried the steroid and botox shots and those didnt really work. after two of those he put me in the hospital to get a mri of my head and to get a round of steroids in me. The mri was fine and i was released 5 days later feeling ok. This lasted till january when they came back we tried the shots no relief and i was out of school and couldnt do anything and he upped my medicines and that didnt work. Then in march he changed my medicines to baclofen topomax (topamax) and trazodone cause i also have trouble sleeping and this helped and i was back in school and headache free almost till august. around mid august i was at my dads and my head started to hurt again just like it used to it hurts from my neck up to my forehead behind my ears and sometimes my eyes will hurt a little its sharp and when it gets really bad its almost a burning kind of pain. i went back to him he changed my topomax (topamax) to 300 100 in the morning and 200 at night and gave me the shots in the back of my head and some steroids to try to get the inflammation to go away. this didnt help at all and when i went back to school i couldnt do it so i got in to see him and he put me homeschooling and changed my baclofen to 20mg and gave me more steroids but no shot this time and said it was all tension and before he had given me the diagnosis of chronic daily headaches. my grandma had been doing some research about cutting the affected nerve to stop the pain all together and he said i was to young(15 almost 16) and to go to pain management if this doesnt work. we called pain management and they wont see me for this so im just looking for some more insight on this maybe its something other than tension or chronic daily headaches or just something i would really appreciate some help

Yours sound a lot like mine :( I've been having this issue since a car accident 6yrs ago and the burning head is the worse!!! I keep telling everyone that one day I will humanly combust lol Anyhow, I have taken a gazillion (well it seems like a gazillion medications anyhow) and nothing worked. The only thing that works for me is Excedrine for migraines.

I came across this and this is something I will be mentioning to my Dr. to see if this is my problem. Maybe read over it, see if it may sounds like what your dealing with with the burning from the bottom up to your forhead (same as me) and sometimes painful eyes. Just google Occipital Neuralgia.

I do hope you get help soon!!!!
