I have  had an MRI and diagnosed with herniated disc L5-S1. I cannot get into see a neouro surgeon for 5 weeks. What kind of exercises should I do until then? I don,t want to make it worse, but I also want to try to help it if possible.I am taking Ultram and 800 mg Ibuprofin every 5 hours, and it still leaves quite a bit of pain in my left leg.Should I walk as much as  I can stand,or should I stay off my feet as much as possible?
