high cpk levels for no reason

by laymoonay, Aug 06, 2009 10:34AM
Hi!
When I was about 6 years old I fell at a supermarket  couldnt get up as my legs felt a bit weak.

Went to the doctor who diagnosed me with muscular dystrophy after looking at my blood test results- My CPK levels were at about 1300. I went for an EMG test in Jordan and they found nothing wrong with my muscular activity!

My family  were not convinced so they sent me to Canada for another EMG test- which also showed that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me! after going through all the test and scans related to elevated CPK
levels, I had several reports stating that I have unexplained high CPK levels.

I am now 26 years old, I work out 5 times a week and have been doing so for the past 6 years, I feel fine, I have no muscle weakness whatsoever!

Out of curiousy I went to check my CPK levels (18 years later) and they are still very high - at 1500! Can anyone advise me ? Can someone have high CPK levels for no apparent reason??
