high lympocites

I do not know how to topic this.   I had blood drawn 2 weeks ago and my lympocites were high again - this is the second time they have been high - the doctor wants to draw blood again in 4 months and if they are still high, she will be sending me to a hemotologist for more detail.

I question my doctor - what could cause it, she said some type of virus or a shift in the bone marrow - well, this still does not help me - but, I want to know what to control it, what kind of diet should I be on? or whatever? I am working on a diet - "no white diet" - i have began using wheat products, started taking fiber pills, fish tablets.

Do you get fever,joint pains, night sweats or malaise? The prescence of high lymphocyte counts as such doesnot cause any symptoms, but high lymphocyte could be indicators of other disorders. Sometimes asymptomatic elevations of lymphocytes maybe seen. some of the common  causes as your doctor has pointed out are viral infections; sometimes bacterial diseases (tuberculosis, brucellosis, Lyme disease) auto immune diseases ( systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis etc.) can also cause high lymphocyte counts. However, if you are not experiencing any such symptoms, it is quiet unlikely that you bhave a major disorder.
