hip pain caused by needle hitting nerve

My wife was given a cortisone injection to reduce hip pain following a partial hip replacement.  The injection needle
apparently struck a nerve (possibly the femoral nerve), not once but twice.  She had immediate strong pain from her
groin to the knee.  Subsequently, she cannot put weight on her right leg without pain, has pain in her groin, and weakness in the right leg to the point of being on a walker.  The only treatment given for this is hydrocordone pills which are partly effective.  The injection accident happened about two months ago and she has been in almost constant pain from that time with no improvement.  If the femoral nerve is damaged, what treatment would help her?
