how can i get reed of a brain Necrosis with no surgery needed?

HI, 6 YEARS AGO, I HAD A BRAIN TUMOR (GLIOSACOMA) FOR WHICH I HAD RECEIVED RADIOTHERAPY, CHEMOTHERAPY, AND LATER GAMMA KNIFE AND CYBERKNIFE.SINCE NOVEMBER I'M DONE WITH MY ONCOLOGICAL TREATMENT. AND WHAT IS LEFT NOW IS A NECROSIS THAT IT 'S STARTING TO AFFECT MY LIFE, SINCE FROM TIME TO TIME I GET SOME EDEMA IN THIS AREA AND  i'VE BEEN TOLD IT'S BECAUSE OF THE NECROSIS FOR WHAT I'M SEARCHING A WAY TO GET REED OF IT. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME WHITH THESE PLEASE?

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has shown good results in treatment of radiation therapy induced brain necrosis and edema. Other option is steroids.
You can discuss this with your treating neurologist to see th feasibility of thee two therapies in your case.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

thanks for answering.
I have 2 questions:

1.- Is the hyperbaric oxygen therapy an invasive therapy?
2.- When talking of steroids? Do you mean pills?

Thank you for your help Dr.
Best regards
