Hi,
Thanks for writing in. It is difficult to say how long a person can stay unconscious, but  usually it is around 15 minutes. If a person is caught just before fainting recovery is still faster. The immediate first aid would making the person lie down, raising the foot end, loosen the tight clothing near the neck etc. After recovery giving them some fluids to drink would help to cope with the situation.
Do write to us if you have any further queries on this.
Best.
