Neck area and hip area is cleaned and prepared. Skin incision is made. He prepares to remove the disc and removes the disc fragments, nerve is decompressed by removal of bony spurs pressing.
Next a bone graft fusion is prepared and graft taken from your hip or bone bank or fusion cage. Next the incision is closed. The retractors are removed, muscles and skin incisions are sutured together. Steri strips or biological glue is placed across this incision. Dissolvable sutures or skin staples are used.
