hypotonia

  My son Cris has mild CP/hypotonia.  My question is would creatin help him?  If you have any other information, please advice me.  Thank you, M.Jaszczak

Dear Mike:
Sorry to hear about your son.  If metabolic causes of hypotonia have been ruled out, and the etiology has been elucidated and either it is not known or is due to trauma, then creatine would boast your sons muscle power.  Not much is know about it's effect in young people.  But from what we have seen, yes it should help muscle power but not necessarily tone.  Tone is different than power or strength.
