Are you sure that your numbness isn't related to a pinched nerve or carpal tunnel? I hope you find out something soon.

hi maddy, my experience is now when I wake up almost every morning something is numb, it may be my foot, leg hand, arm, or both. now once I start moving it around the feeling comes back. sometimes threw out the day it happens again and go's away. It happens most of the time when Im sleeping. when it happens during the day, it is usely because i am fatiuge or to hot.I deffinetly cant lay on my arm or cross my legs for to long, or they go numb and tingly. I also have burning patches of skin, or sensetive patches that hurts to touch. my legs are always weak and shakey in the morning, but that gets better after Im up for a while. I would have to say that right now my worst symptom is fatiuge, it is crushing at times. i hope this help.

I was just dx with ms in Nov. 2006, so everything is still pretty new to me, and Im still learning alot very quickly. but from what I understand, ms is a very complicated disease. no two people have the same symptoms. It is not very commen that both sides of the body are effected at the same time. It is usely one side or the other. One of their biggest tools for dx ms is the mri w/wo contrast and spinal tap. there is alot of good information on the web site of national multiple sclerosis foundation. hang in there!
