intense facial/ mouth pain

I been having sharp pain that I thought was tooth pain, but we have fix all the dental problems and  I still get thise intense pain at night start from the back of  my ear to front of my teeth. It feels like nerve pain.  Sharp pain comes and goes for about 20-30 min and then the side of the face will have a dull ache for hours. I can press behind my ear and goes sharp pain will radiate to the front of my mouth. If I press on my top of my two very fromt teeth the pain will radiate to the back of my mouth. It very sharp intense pain, does anyone have any ideas. It feel like is inside my mouth.

Hi there. Face pain can be due to various causes like nerve disorder, injury or an infection in a facial structure. Certain causes are an abscessed tooth, cluster headache, herpes zoster, injury to the face, migraine, myofascial pain syndrome, sinusitis and trigeminal neuralgia. Also, need to check temperomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome. Trigeminal neuralgia can cause facial pain, pain comes and goes and feels like sharp, bursts of sharp stabbing electric shocks.
