internal burning sensation

hi there! i just woke up at 3 a.m. and feel as if my veins are on fire-or the blood running through them. it's hard to describe actually but i am afraid. it feels like my blood is hot. the outside of my skin is cool and i dont have a temperature-but i burn from my inside!
i am under stress, and have a hard time sleeping lately if that matters.
