involuntary muscle movement when excited and sleepy

by mary2kj, Apr 04, 2008 01:00PM
My daughter will soon be three. She has developed normally physically as well as mentally. She is very bright and communicates very well for her age.  When excited or sleepy, she does a movement that consist of hopping and flapping her arms.  She also makes a weird face in which one eye crosses.  The hopping and facial grimace has been added over the past several months.  I have had her to 2 peds and they both have assured me that lots of children  do these movements when they are over stimulated and it is completely normal.  My husband and I have had children in the family that did the "excited" movements, but with my daughter, I feel that it has gotten worse.  Comments, Thoughts and/or Suggestions PLEASE!
