Hi, I have MG. I had a thymectomy in May.  My question is what causes the

My surgeon did not mention this when I saw her 6 weeks after surgery.  It is still very
is still very sensitive to the touch and quite itchy.  What can be done for this??

Thanks for the question Joanne but you really have the wrong group for this question but I'll tell you what I know. Keloids result from an excessive proliferation of collagen following injury to the skin (such as surgery in your case). Dark skinned people are affected more then light-skinned. They are generally thought to be harmless but may be tender, itchy and unsightly in appearance. Treatment have included such things as lasers, injected steroids, retinoic acid and various creams. These abnormalities are treated by dermatologists and that is who you need to see. Good luck
