I get this pain in my leg after a night of drinking or when it rains out and it only feels better when im stretching, i used to get it when i was a little girl cause i remember telling my mom that my legs hurt and she used to tell me "they were growing pains and it was bc i was gettin taller" but now at 23 yrs old i realize they aren't growing pains anymore lol at night sometimes i feel like my legs are gettin numb and i have to constantly switch positions because of it..im anemic and wondering if maybe this had something to do with it?

You're not getting enough sex! You need more activity and leg stretching and the pains will go away. Trust me.

I have the same thing, i thought i would never meet anyone else with this same condition, but i guess i was wrong.  My leg pain is in my shins, and i was told it was shin splints but i dont think it is, stretching doesn't really help that much, just occasionally tylenol-though it barely touches it.  im 34 and the leg pain has gotten progressivly worse over the years.  I also had this pain as a young girl.  Like about 6 years old.  my mom also told me it was growing pains.  They hurt when it rains, after a night out drinking ( which doesnt happen anymore), and if i'm just up late doing things and dont' sleep much.  I have found some things through trial and err over the years that help..

Heating pad or hot bath to soak legs
Cherries (ripe)  about 25 usually works, although this sometimes doesn't work
Tylenol, or  ultracet and it worked a little better
NAP!  this seems to help the greatest a couple of hours of sleep helps tremendously with my leg pain
Stretch the shin muscles by tucking them under your thighs on the floor and sitting on your heels with your knees together in front of you and lean back in increments of ten this stretches the muscles and relieves tension on the bone (where the pain origins)

good luck!

Dear lovely:  The best remedy I have found so far is this:  calcium tablets.  Your muscles also need calcium to function.  When I take my calcium tablets religiously I just don't have muscle pain.  When I forget to take them for over a week or so, then the pain returns in my legs.  I exercise a lot and am a little bit overweight.  You need to take them for a week or so before noticing any relief.  The longer you take them the more relief you get.  They are also good for your heart because it is also a muscle and of course your bones will appreciate a little calcium. I used to think calcium was just for your bones.  I was dead wrong.  Santafesasquatch

Hi,
The causes of leg pain may be numerous. One of them is poor blood circulation. Since you are anemic, blood circulation to the legs may not be adequate. The pain getting relieved on stretching suggests the same. Blood circulation is improved on stretching thus relieving pain. Other causes may be deficiency of multivitamins and multiminerals. Please take a diet rich in calcium, protein, multivitamins and multiminerals. You can take a diet rich in all these or use natural supplements. Daily exercises condition the muscles and thus help in reducing pain and cramps. Warm compresses help to relieve pain temporarily. Please consult a physician and neurologist and go for an MRI of the spine to rule out  a nerve compression or pathology if the symptoms persist. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!

my legs hurt too since i was young and when i was younger i was told it was growing pains.  I have come to find out that tylenol does wonders and works instantly but most times it hurts when the weather is going to change, and i just recently noticed this past two years that stress makes it hurt too.  I am planning on getting it checked out because now my daughter gets these pains.
